Yes! While cats groom themselves by licking, they don’t clean their fur or trim their
sharp nails. Professional grooming helps remove mats, dirt, excess oils and loose
fur. It also supports skin health and keeps your cat looking and feeling their best.
A feline-exclusive salon is designed to cater to the unique needs of cats. No barking dogs, no
loud dryers, and no unnecessary stress. Everything from handling techniques to equipment is
chosen with feline comfort and safety in mind.
Most cats benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks depending on their coat type, age, and
lifestyle. Long-haired breeds and older cats may need more frequent appointments to prevent
matting and hygiene issues.
Typical grooming includes nail trimming, a sanitary trim, ear cleaning, degreasing the coat,
thorough brushing, and a bath with feline-safe shampoo. We also offer deshedding treatments
and haircuts if needed.
Cats often dislike water when it’s done at home, but we use calm handling, warm water, and
feline-friendly techniques to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Most cats do
surprisingly well in our care.
Yes! Regular professional grooming significantly reduces shedding and hairballs by removing
the loose undercoat before it ends up in your cat’s digestive system (or on your furniture).
What happens if my cat is matted?
Severe matting can be painful and may require close shaving in certain areas. We always
prioritize your cat’s comfort and safety, and we’ll discuss all options with you before proceeding.
We specialize in feline handling and work with cats who have anxiety, fear, or behavioral
challenges. In some cases, we may recommend shorter sessions or a series of visits to build trust.
Please transport your cat in a secure carrier. Don’t feed your cat right before the appointment and
be sure to let us know about any health or behavioral concerns in advance.
We do not sedate cats. If your cat requires sedation due to extreme anxiety or medical needs, we
recommend speaking with your veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Most cats are calmer without their owners present. For their safety and ours, we do not allow pet
parents to stay in the grooming area, but we’ll provide updates and a full report afterward.
Absolutely! Indoor cats may not pick up dirt outside, but they still shed, develop tangles, and
suffer from dander buildup. Regular grooming keeps their coat and skin in top shape.
We recommend introducing kittens to grooming as early as 10–12 weeks. Starting young helps
them become familiar with the process, making future appointments much easier.
Yes! We offer lion cuts, teddy bear trims, and sanitary shaves depending on your cat’s needs and
coat condition. We’ll discuss what’s best for your cat during your consultation.
If your cat has fleas, let us know ahead of time. We can treat them during the groom, but there
will be an additional fee. Severe infestations may be referred to your vet.
